To the Same Person. Many in the infirmary of the present age are sick and palsied. But the same medicine does not suit them all, nor does the same diet benefit them all. For the physician applies the course of treatment and the regimen to one man in one way and to another in another.

Πολλοὶ ἐν τῷ νοσοκομείῳ τοῦ παρόντος αἰῶνος ὑπάρχουσιν ἄρρωστοι, καὶ παραλυτικοί. Οὐ πᾶσι δὲ ἡ αὐτὴ ἁρμόζει φαρμακία, οὐ δὲ πᾶσιν ἡ αὐτὴ συμβάλλεται τράπεζα. Ἄλλῳ γὰρ ἄλλως τὴν περιωδὴν, καὶ τὴν δίαιταν προσφέρει ὁ ἰατρός.
