friendship
To my Brother.
The man carrying this letter is a paymaster and quartermaster of the Dalmatian cohort. I love all the Dalmatians as though they were my own children, because they are the people of the city to which I was appointed bishop [Ptolemais]. That is all I need to tell you — it is now for you to give him whatever help he needs.
Letter 87: A Recommendation
[1] To his Brother
The man to whom I have given this letter is a paymaster and quartermaster of the Dalmatian cohort. I love all the Dalmatians as if they were my own children, because they are the people of the city to which I was appointed bishop. [2] This is all that I had to tell you. It is for you now to give a welcome to my friends, as if they were your own.
