I had some time ago commended to you the son of the most distinguished Macedonius, when he had entered his name at your court. I believe that this matter served the young man well, in keeping with my zeal on his behalf; but because nothing is ever enough for parents, and to certain people a repetition of the request seems more effective, having been asked once more I take up the petition anew, not that you should show favor [...] to a fledgling advocate, but that you should deign now to increase what has already been bestowed. In my own name, however, I beg you not to suppose that the request has been repeated as though I had no confidence that I had obtained it the first time. Farewell.
