Letter 481: Terentianus asks Tasoucharion to receive baskets and arrange household supplies.

Claudius Terentianus sends very many greetings to his sister Tasoucharion. Before anything else, I pray that you and everyone with you are well. Receive from the person who hands you this letter the small basket. Whatever you find in it, write back to me about it. I have also sent you another one through Valerius the goldsmith. Please receive it and write back to me about your health, and about anything you need, because I hope to come up to you soon. Do everything you can to look after supplies for us: two of the largest jars of emmer and one artaba of radish oil. I sent you oregano along with the oil. If you received from Ptolemaios the things I wrote about, write back to me. The next damaged lines mention two artabas and arrangements to be made before someone comes up here. The family sends greetings. In the address and marginal notes, Terentianus asks Tasoucharion to greet several people by name, including Ptolemaios son of Arius with his wife and children, Ptolemaios, Tiberinus, and others whose names are damaged. A later note asks for fresh asparagus through Melas and says that everyone in the lodging sends greetings. I have sent you papyrus so that you can write to me about your health. I pray that you may be well forever. The address says: deliver this to Tasoucharion from Terentianus.
