Letter 474: Tabetheus urges Tiberianus to visit after his arrival at Alexandria.

[Tabetheus?] sends very many greetings to Claudius Tiberianus, her brother. When I learned that you had come to Alexandria, I was overjoyed, along with everyone in my household. Please write back to me and say that you are coming to us at once. Your son, in the damaged section of the papyrus, has been waiting for you during your absence up to the present day, and even now we wait for you every day with the children. So I ask you to come to us immediately. If you come up, we will make obeisance to you together with the children. Your daughter Segathis is serving me; she is sensible and, though the next words are lost, clearly capable. She sent Isidoros, your son, to you so that he could bring your belts to you with the soldiers, because she is staying with me. We are afraid the flood may come in the river violently, and I cannot leave the house because of the damaged matter named in the text. Isidoros and Segathis greet you, and we also greet the damaged names and the children. I received a small letter from Claudius, your son, and from it I understood that, as soon as you came to me, you would take me to Alexandria with Segathis. Even now you have still not been willing to come.
