7. Pueris autem, quibus, quod adhuc investes'**) sunt, a puri-
tate vocabulum est, seu clericis seu laicis, aut etiam similibus puellis,
quibus ignorantia suflPragatur aetatis, aliquamdiu sub manus impo-
sitione detentis reddenda communio est. Nec eorum exspectanda
poenitentia, quos excipit a coercitione censura. Quod est a nobia
provide constitutum, ne hi, quibus iii terreni labe contagii plus mi-
nusve restat ad vitam, dum adhuc in poenitentia sunt, poeDitenda
forte committant. Quodsi ante praefinitum poenitentiae tempus de-
spectus^*) a medicis aut e^adentibus mortis pressus indieiisy recepta
quisquam communionis gratia con\ralescit, servemus in eo, quod Ni-
caeni canones ordiuaverunt: ut habeatur inter eos, qui in oratione
sola communicant, donec impleatur spatium temporis eidem praesti-
tutum. Nec catechumenos nostros, qui sub tali professione bapti-
zati sunt^ praeterimus, quia non est causa dissimilis, sicut iidem
